Varsity Football Takes on Hometown Rival

Ethan Glaid, Managing Editor

Aug. 30 marked an unfortunate day in East football history. The East Olympians fell to the North Bulldogs with a final score of 42-31. North set out early to establish a run game and it paid off hugely. North’s running back Blake Huffman had a total of 283 yards on 58 carries. Due to their strong running game North took a commanding lead in the first half, gaining a 15 point lead at halftime. As the second half began, the Olympians had a glimpse of hope as they looked to lead a comeback as the second half progressed. However a strong touchdown by Huffman in the final minutes of the fourth quarter lead to the Oympians’ demise.
