“The Mandalorian” Season One Review

“The Mandalorian” is the first live action Star Wars show and can only be streamed on Disney+. It is the best thing the Star Wars franchise has produced since 2005, Revenge of the Sith.

“The Mandalorian” maintains the classic Star Wars and western feel while still feeling new and fresh. At the beginning of the show, it seemed as if the show was going to be completely based on side missions and mini rendezvous. But then there were episodes and moments that advanced the whole plot of the show and the overall story arc. Those mini mission shows were entertaining episodes, but the weakest in the series because of how pointless they ended up being in the long run. I appreciate the momentum in the everloving mission and the way it pulls you in to make you actually care about the story and the events taking place.

The true beauty in “The Mandalorian” is the storytelling power of Jon Favreau as you are drawn into the story without really knowing what it is truly about or where the story is going. The secrecy of who The Mandalorian or Baby Yoda is cannot always be found in TV shows today.
