After 15 years, Supernatural is now coming to an end on the CW. With the first episode being aired on Sept. 13, 2005, the show has been running consistently for their fans. While fans hate to see it come to an end, the cast agrees that it is time for Sam and Dean to finish their journey.

Season 15 was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing the show to come to a pause after only 13 episodes, the last of which aired on March 23, 2020. The cast had filmed up to episode 18, but due to the effects team not being able to complete it, they could only release it through episode 13.

The cast was able to return to the set in early September and has now completed filming of the last few episodes. The last of the episodes, starting with episode 14, began airing on Oct. 8, 2020. The series finale is set to air on Nov. 19, 2020.

At the end of the show, many people are wondering what will happen to “Baby.” The famous 1967 Chevrolet Impala is Dean Winchester’s prize possession and it has been with the boys through thick and thin.

The classic car has had many makeovers over the years, leaving few still running cars. Jensen Ackles, the actor who plays Dean Winchester, will be given the original Impala. Co-actor, Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam Winchester, will also get to take home one of the extra Impalas.

During the filming of the last episodes, the cast and crew took to social media to commemorate the occasion. The show’s fans started the hashtag #ThankYouSupernatural to share the cast and crew’s messages.

Although fans are sad the show is coming to an end, the actors and directors agreed that to drag the show on too long would not be doing it justice.
