Festive music filled East’s Robins Auditorium last night during Deck the Hall, the annual Olympian Choir and Center Stage holiday concert.

Lights, gifts and a Christmas tree adorned the stage and set a warm mood as the Olympian Choir and choir director Ken Hauan took the stage. After a brief welcome from Hauan, the Olympian Choir sang five songs, including a Japanese Christmas carol.

“[The choir] was very festive and we all had a good time,” said sophomoreCenter Stage member Heather Langevin.

Following the Olympian Choir, the three selected soloists were announced: Luke Major, Erin Erickson and Sarah Harpring all singing beautiful holiday renditions.

The soloists concluded and joined the Center Stage show choir, who stole the show with six upbeat songs and a shimmering silver dress for the girls. Luke Major sang another solo during Center Stage’s rendition of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

The show concluded and was deemed a success by performers.

“The Olympian Choir did really well and so did show choir. I really enjoyed Sarah and Luke’s solos the most, they gave me goosebumps,” said Olympian Choir member Montana Hall (10).
