Texas senator Ted Cruz made a short visit to Zaharakos Ice Cream Parlor in downtown Columbus today in order to garner support for the May 3rd primary. Cruz arrived to a packed restaurant at 2:00, and shook hands, conversed and took photographs.

Cruz currently has 559 delegates and is in second place behind Donald Trump, who has 845. Indiana has 57 delegates up for grabs in a winner-take-all system.

Another presidential candidate, Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton, will make an appearance in an undisclosed Indiana location on Tuesday.
