East Girls Basketball Wins First Sectional Title in Seven Years

East Girls Basketball came into Saturday night’s ready to battle for a sectional title after an emotional victory over crosstown rival Columbus North the night before. The Lady O’s were up to the test and defeated East Central 34-32. A late Britney Ballard basket with about 10 seconds left gave the Olympians a lead for good.

East advances to take on Bedford North Lawrence this coming Saturday at Columbus North at 10 a.m. Be on the lookout for a preview of the game later this week. Checkout photos from the sectional finals above.
