Threat made against Columbus East

At 2:03 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, parents, faculty and students began receiving alert text messages and emails describing that a threat against Columbus East High School was reported.

The alert, sent through four separate text messages, described a threat that was posted on Snapchat group chat and reported to school official by other students. Law enforcement is currently involved and the student has been identified, detained and removed from campus.
