Dear Mr. Taube, 

I wanted to thank you for everything you have done for me. After meeting you in fifth grade when Greta and I would ride the bus to East after school, you have constantly been a role model for me. As the years have gone by, I have never heard anything from my mom or my peers except comments along the lines of “Mr. Taube is so awesome.” I agree with this statement 100 percent. You make an effort to know everyone’s name and truly value your students. You are also always positive and smiling, which I know can be a huge challenge on bad days. 

I just want you to know that joining Student Assembly was probably the best decision I have made thus far in my high school career. Getting to be a part of planning the events was so cool to me freshman year and being an officer this year was even better. You have enabled me to develop so much as a leader and have shown me how to be compassionate, even in tough situations or when I have trouble working with certain people. Although I do not think I can ever fully express my gratitude in words, I hope you realize how much of a positive impact you have on me, my fellow officers, and the school. I seriously could not have asked for a better group of people to work with this year. I always looked forward to our meetings, even if I had to wake up a little earlier. I am so excited to get to take on more responsibility next year and to help out Marin and Pranav. You have helped shape East and our community into something so incredibly special. I know that while next year may have some challenges, you will be just a phone call away when we need it. Thank you, again, for everything.
