Boys and Girls Swim vs. North

For over thirty years, North Boys have dominated the Swimming scene in Columbus. Yet their victorious reign came to an end on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, when the Olympian swimmers defeated them with a final score of 99-84. Senior, Captain, Spencer Erfmeier reflects on the win.

“I’m super proud of the team and the way we swam,” Erfmeier said. “This win was super important to us.”

Even with prevalent illness and missing swimmers, East was able to carry out the win regardless.

“We had a lot of swimmers out with sickness, so it was important that all of us left it all out there and competed to the best of our ability” Erfmeier said.

This win will hold a special place in the hearts of the East Men’s swimmers, especially the seniors. Although this was significant, the Olympians are in no way stopping the grind.

“I’m looking forward to growing as a team and showing people what we are capable of,” Erfmeier said. “I think we can really make a name for ourselves this year.”
