Boy’s Cross Country

As fall rolls around the cross country team prepares to begin their meets. After making it all the way to regionals last year, the team has large shoes to fill. With four strong returning seniors, Garrett McGaha, Jared Baker, Owen Rupp, and Matt Combs, the Olympians are thinking that this season will be a prosperous one. For senior Jared Baker, leadership is key this season. “This season will be a little different than normal because we lost a large number of varsity runners. But with the potential that is being seen from the incoming freshman, it will be interesting to see how the team adapts to the new runners. Since we have so few seniors it will be good to see how those in leadership positions step up to help the younger runners,” Baker said. With new faces and a strong senior class, the Men’s cross country team hopes to go as far as Semi-State this season.
