President Trump travelled to Texas this week to rally over the border as Congress met to pass funding in order to avoid a repeat of the shutdown earlier this year. The spectacle served to solidify the hopes of an O’Rourke 2020 presidential run as the 46-year-old ex-lawmaker drew a crowd rivaling or even surpassing Trump’s.

Freshman Representative Ilhan Omar drew sharp criticism and ignited debate when she questioned support of Israel by American politicians, recently citing Israel’s official status as a Jewish state and it’s refusal to recognize other religions within it’s borders as humorous when it is called a democracy.
