Photo Gallery: East places 7th at State, brings home a state champion

This past weekend, the East Wrestling team sent five grapplers to state. East came home with three medals: Graham Rooks placed fourth in the 126 lb weight class, Dawson Combest got third place in the 132 lb division and Cayden Rooks brought home Columbus East’s first ever wrestling state championship. Cayden triumphed in the 120 lb weight class.
Congratulations to East wrestling on a dominant and successful season – Team HHC Conference Champions, Team Sectional Champions, Team Regional Champions, 8 Semi-State qualifiers, 5 State qualifiers, a 3rd place State finish, a 4th place State finish, and a State champion.
