Moving Forward after Terror
East Students Advocate for Change

A shockwave echoed across the world. It permeated our screens with eradicable images of fear.
In a city almost the size of Columbus, Charlottesville, Virginia, white nationalists instilled with racial hate clashed with counter-protesters and violence broke out. Then a young woman’s life was lost to a form of domestic terrorism.
4,000 miles away a similar scene exploded. In Barcelona, Spain, a terror attack took place on the city’s historic streets. When the dust settled, 14 lives were lost.
Now, the world has to move forward. Forward is defined as onward so we must make progress, which almost seems unfathomable with people in this world that never want to change.
Featured are 12 pictures from 12 anonymous students who want change. They know it would be impossible to try to change everyone, yet they know one thing they can change- themselves. Here is what they will do. What will you?
