Junior Taylor Gaskill gets introduced as the meet is getting ready to begin.

This Saturday, March 10th, the Columbus East girls gymnastics team will be competing in the state tournament at Ball State University. East senior Adi Minor looks to add on to her state resume this year after placing first on uneven bars last season.

“I have been putting so much pressure on myself to succeed this season doing so well last year and this being my senior year and my final state run.”

Minor also thinks that the team has a shot at the state title.

“I think if the girls go out and do what they’ve been doing this whole season and what they’ve been doing in practice then they will do really well at Ball State. I’m excited and sad because it’s the last time I’ll ever compete. But if we do our best then I couldn’t be more happy no matter what happens.”

The girls gymnastics team placed second at the Connersville regional this past weekend finishing less than a point behind the first place Columbus North Bulldogs.
