Friday, the Olympians will take on the New Albany Bulldogs. This will be Columbus East’s first home conference game of the 2015-2016 football season.

The Olympians’ record is 4-0, while New Albany has split its season down the middle, with two wins and two losses.

The Olympians have had a very impressive offense approach to this season, having already racked up over 1700 yards of total offense.

“Our biggest asset is our run game. We can run the ball really well, and in return, that sets up our pass plays because the defense is always prepared for the run,” said wide receiver junior Ben Allen.

The offense is not the only side of the ball that is putting up amazing numbers. The defense has had a lot of stress relieved by an offense that puts up such big scores.

“We have a really experienced and big offensive line that helps our offense a lot. We don’t want to let the other team score, but if they do score, we score a lot so we don’t have to worry about getting down in the game,” said defensive end Jared Day.

East has a combined score of 157-33 against the opponents they’ve faced this season. Needless to say, the Olympians have torched every team that has come in their way.

East hopes the trend continues as they look to torch New Albany and add another W to their growing win column.
