Since Christmas break, you have most likely noticed the amount of people with Apple Airpods have increased. The majority of non-Airpod users have probably wondered, “Why would people pay 159 dollars for these wireless earbuds?” Even with these prices, Airpods have so many features that make the price worth it.

One of the most noticeable changes from the regular earbuds to Airpods is how Airpods are wireless. With having these wireless earbuds, the need to have a headphone jack or plugging in your headphones to a charging port of your phone is unnecessary. Also for anyone who has an iPhone 7 or newer, you have the ability to listen to music or watch a movie and charge your phone at the exact same time. If you want to let someone else listen too, you both can move around and still listen without being attached by a wire.

Another great quality about Airpods is how they allow you to tap twice on both sides and choose what they do. These controls can be changed to either Siri, play/pause, next track, previous track or off. Airpods also have built in microphones so you can talk on the phone as well. When you take one of your earbuds out, anything playing stops and when you put the earbud back in, the sound resumes. The Airpods connect to any Apple device anytime they are placed in your ears.

Switching from regular Apple earbuds to Airpods was one of the best decisions I ever made. I highly recommend switching to anyone who is tired of not being able to charge your phone and listen to music at the same time, tangled wires, or wants a comfortable and convenient pair of earbuds.

Imagine, you just woke up  to realize that your Airpods have fallen out of your ear last night when you were slowly drifting away to a deep sleep while listening to the littest album on Spotify, “Rain Sounds”. You don’t have time to look for the one and a half inch earbud lost in your bed so you must go to school. You get home and realize that your mom had washed your sheets and open the washer to find your 159 dollar Airpods completely destroyed. Meanwhile, your best friend who had the same problem was able to find her EARBUDS in less than 30 seconds by just finding the long white cord, that easily stood out among her bed sheets. Apple’s new release of their bluetooth earbuds, AirPods, have become overly popular in my opinion. The produce the same volume and functions as that of regular earbuds. Plus, regular earbuds come FREE with every Iphone purchase, and if you lose them you can travel to the nearest general store and get another pair for under five dollars. Airpods often need to be charged, due to their lasting battery life only five hours, but with earbuds plug them in and your ready to go. Earbuds will be around for many generations to come, but Airpods are just another one of today’s hottest trends.
