Dance Marathon is one of the largest student led organizations at East and in all of Columbus. It is a night of fun and games to benefit Turning Point, the community’s local shelter for those affected by domestic violence.

However, none of it would be possible without the committee of people that work for months beforehand to deliver such a good event.

The opportunity to be a part of and contribute to Dance Marathon is here. The first of many committee meetings was yesterday, September 23, 2015, in room C110 from 6-7 p.m.

Senior and newcomer to the Dance Marathon committee, Brock Murphy said “[The meeting] was very informative and I learned a lot about the committees and what they are all about.”

Meetings will be held every Wednesday, but it is not mandatory to attend every single meeting. Those who missed the first meeting should not panic as they still have a chance to be part of the committee.

Senior Jesse Langdon, Co-Chairperson of the Entertainment and Games committee, said “You can still show up to the meetings and we’ll have more applications and we’ll get them where they want to go.”
