American Pie

American Pie is a “rock and roll history tour” that takes place every year at Columbus North High School. This concert continues to bring in hundreds of people and sells out almost every year. Ed Niespodziani has led this rock concert every year. May 10, 2019 was his final concert after 33 successful shows.
The American Pie Concert was nothing short of a success; tickets sold out even before the day of the concert. The song list included 29 songs from the 60s all the way to 2013, featuring “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper and “Teddy Bear” by Elvis Presley.
American Pie’s theme this year was “Those Were the Days,” which was very fitting. Before every song, Niespodziani would reminisce on the the decades and introduce the performers. Niespodziani created an amazing concert that will continue to live on.
