The Columbus East Olympians will face the Madison Cubs in their seventh game of the season this Friday. East will look to continue their search for a perfect season and a Hoosier Hills Conference Championship. The Olympians are 6-0 on the year while Madison is 0-6.

The team is really excited about the possibility of having a perfect regular season. The last time the Olympians had an undefeated regular season in 2013, they continued to win games and it led them to a state championship.

“It would be pretty awesome [to win state]. ” Said, Sophomore, Brady Harrison.

The players have tried to push away the thoughts of an undefeated season and take it one game at a time. It seems like a good strategy to keep focus on the current game and have a leveled head.

“We really don’t want to get ahead of ourselves or caught up in any hype,”said sophomore Carson Gilpin. “We want to keep ourselves focused on the games, and not what people are saying.”

Make sure to make the trip to Madison to catch the game as the Olympians look to continue their strive for greatness and come out with another W.
