This Friday, the Columbus East Olympians will take on the Bedford North Lawrence Stars. The Stars are 4-4 on the season so far, and the Olympians are still hanging in undefeated at 8-0. Lots of students and even some of the team are thinking about the possibility of an undefeated season.

“I actually try not to think about [getting an undefeated season] a lot. I want to take the games all one at a time- that way I don’t get ahead of myself. You can’t just assume any games are going to be wins,” said sophomore center Harry Crider.

This is a good mindset to keep when trying end the regular season with a win.

“I think it would be crazy to see an undefeated season. This is my first year I’ve seen a football season at East, and what a better way to end it than a undefeated season?” said sophomore Nick Doty.

The East students seem to be just as excited as the players when it comes to thinking about an undefeated season.

“It’d definitely be pretty crazy. I remember when it happened a couple years ago. Basically it was the talk of the whole town and everybody went crazy from East. Even some of the North kids,” said sophomore Skylar Myers.

With all the excitement coming from the students and the team itself, anything seems to be possible with this team. Be sure to catch the Olympians take on the Stars Friday night.
