Caroline’s Craft Corner: Easy DIY Valentines
Handmade cards are the best when it comes to Valentine’s day gifts and nothing shows that special someone you care more than a handmade note. These two cards are simple, easy and perfect for that person in your life on Valentine’s day.
Sweet Heart
Materials:
- Construction paper
- Googly eyes
- Liquid Glue
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Fine point marker or pen
Steps:
- Starting in the corner of your paper, free draw the top of a heart with the pencil. Starting from the corner gives a more precise heart shape than free drawing the whole shape.
- Once the heart is drawn, cut it out with scissors.
- Using the glue, place small drops on the back of the googly eyes and place them towards the center of the heart then draw on a little smile below.
Light of my Life
Materials:
- Construction paper
- Small wax candle
- Liquid glue
- Scissors
- Fine point marker or pen
Steps:
- Eyeball a small rectangle shape on your paper then with the scissors, cut it out.
- Grab the small candlestick next and lay a thin line of glue along one side then place it in the center of the rectangle.
- Lastly, write out the ever cheesy message “You light up my life” below the candle.
- (Optional) Add embellishments around the sides of the card like snipping the corners or drawing on little hearts around the card.
Happy Crafting!
