When graduating high school there are many paths you can choose for your life. Two frequently debated paths are attending a college or university or attending a trade school. Both options offer very different opportunities for your future and what you plan to do after school.
If you see attending a trade school as the best option for you and your future then you most likely have a very specific profession in which you would like your entire education to be centered around. In an article published by Universal Technical Education, “Trade schools are designed to give students training and experience that they’ll be able to apply to their chosen profession once they graduate.” Trade school can be beneficial when wanting to enhance the skills you have regarding the trade you choose to pursue.
For people who choose to attend a college or university, they tend to have a large field of careers that they would like to choose from, which is the reason they choose to major in certain categories. Southern New Hampshire University says, “College is important for many reasons, including increased career stability and satisfaction, and the ability to make an impact on your community.” In a lot of job requirements, you must have a BA/BD minimum if you want specific jobs, which is another reason college is so beneficial.
With the school year coming to a close, there are many kids who will either decide to pursue a trade or go to college or a university to study. Both are beneficial pathways to choose whatever you want to do when you get older.
