Top 10 albums of 2015

2015 turned out to be a good year for the music industry overall. And honestly, some of my favorite albums came out in 2015. I composed a list of the ten albums I personally thought were the best of the year. Just to restate, this is my personal opinion so you will only see albums I enjoyed.

To Pimp A Butterfly - Kendrick Lamar

Can I say I was never really a fan of rap? Well, that was until I was introduced to this album. With a ferocious rapping style and catchy melodies, Kendrick Lamar really sets a new standard.

I Love You, Honeybear - Father John Misty

One of the more thematic albums on this list, this album really blew me away. Not only does this blow me away, but all the live performances associated with it do also. This album definitely deserves to be on this list.

Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress Godspeed You! - Black Emperor

Not a lot of people really enjoy instrumental artists, but if you do, this is the album for you. The album uses complex melodies and big sounds to get their point across. Even if you do not listen to instrumental music give this album a listen.

25 - Adele

I wanted to include some pop on the list, so of course I had to choose 25 by Adele. She really puts emphasis on loss and love with this album. Everyone should go ahead and listen to this album.

Vega Int. Night School - Neon Indian

I became a fan of Neon Indian recently, and for good reason. Each song is extremely catchy and easy to get down to. Whether you like electronic music or not, you should check this album out.

Currents - Tame Impala

With a psychedelic sound, Tame Impala sets a relaxed mood with their album Currents. If you have never listened to Tame Impala before, now is the time to start listening to them.

Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper - Panda Bear

After having this album recommended to me by a friend, I slowly fell in love with the style of music this band puts out.  With a psychedelic/ synth pop feel, Panda Bear puts out a confusing yet melodic piece with Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper.

Jamie XX - In Colour

Are you hosting a party? Do you need sick beats to get down to? Trust me, I regret saying that, but this is a good album. Just go and listen to this great album.

Alabama Shakes - Sound and Color

The name of this group might sound like a bad illness, but trust me this album is well put together. If you like the R&B/ funk style, check this album out.

If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late - Drake

This album has gotten a lot of good reviews from multiple critics, so of course I decided to check it out. I was not disappointed at all. So, if you haven't already, go ahead and search this up.
