East welcomes new exchange students

For a Southern Indiana town, Columbus has an impressive representation of different cultures. Cummins, Inc. brings in engineers from all over the world, making Columbus a culturally diverse place to live.

Fortunately, Columbus East mirrors this diversity by bringing in foreign exchange students every year. For the 2015-2016 school year, East has seven foreign exchange students from seven countries: Mexico, Egypt, Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria and Thailand.

Spanish student Roque Bescos said, “I’m really happy here in America. I think it’s a great community with lots of things to do and I really love it.”
