East is full of many amazing and unique students who share their individual life experiences. East junior Grace McMahon has her own unique story of her high school experience, including her classes, clubs and sports.
McMahon contributes to East by participating in clubs and sports. These activities impact her high school experience by giving her something to look forward to at school besides her classes.
“I’m actually the head of the environmental club here at East,” McMahon said. “I also throw for our track team and am on the women’s wrestling team.”
While McMahon is participating in these clubs and sports for East, she still finds an interest in classes offered at East.
“I’m surprisingly a math person. My favorite class I am in right now is Calculus,” McMahon said.
McMahon is also a part of the staff of the East Newspaper, The Oracle.
“I first joined The Oracle because I needed an art credit my sophomore year. After working for The Oracle for a year, I really enjoyed it and decided to return this year,” McMahon said. “I’m most excited about being the managing editor and eventually being the design editor for the newspaper.”
McMahon is one of the many students who doesn’t quite know what they want to do with their future.
“All I know for sure is that I want to attend college. I don’t know where quite yet,” McMahon said. “My biggest goal this year is to keep up with everything I have going on and not fall behind.”
