East is an amazing school where you have the opportunity to meet new people and learn all about who they are. Ella Anthis has had amazing teachers, classes, and experiences that have prepared her for her future.
Anthis has been given the opportunity to take some amazing classes while at East. She has future goals to be a dental hygienist or a mental health therapist and has been able to take some classes at East to help her gain knowledge.
“My favorite class is probably dental. I started taking it this year and I really enjoy it so far.”
Anthisis also enrolled for her first year on the staff of the East newspaper.
“I decided to join newspaper because I knew a lot of friends that were going to join newspaper and I really do enjoy writing and talking to other people, so I just thought it would be fun,”
While taking classes at East, Anthis has had the opportunity to meet a lot of new teachers. She had one specific teacher that she really liked that changed her perspective of East.
“Mrs. Caroll was my English teacher last year. She really helped me get my thoughts out of my mind.”
Not only has Anthis had opportunities to have great teachers and classes, but she is also a part of East’s girls basketball team. Although Anthis is excited to take on another year at East she is enthusiastic for basketball.
“I am most excited this year for basketball because we got a new coach and I think the team will really gather up and be better this year,” said Anthis.
As a sophomore, Anthis was asked if she could give one piece of advice to a freshman.
“As a freshman, going into high school you are going to lose a lot of your friends and you are going to find out who is real and who is not. So trust no one!”
