Introduction
This cycle, we want to talk about being prepared, because many important events are coming up for many, especially towards the end of the year. For example, prom, graduation, exams, and many more. But sometimes this is not always the easiest thing to prepare for them. Just a few first steps can lead to becoming a better-organized person and being the first to be prepared for everything. Because sometimes, when it comes to important events, many seem to push it back because they don’t know where to start. Whether that be with not knowing when to study for a big exam, or not knowing when to book that hair appointment. So we will discuss how to become a prepared student in school and in life in general.
Plan Ahead
A key thing to do is to make sure to know when this upcoming event is happening. While it might seem like it will be a while and far off for now, it will come faster than you think. So setting reminders and writing down the date in a journal or calendar, and marking the weeks or days of how long away it is, is an amazing way to set a path on how long you want to spend time on the task. For example, if an exam is coming up, marking how many weeks you have until the day can help you remember how much you have to study before it. As well as setting calls in to make appointments months ahead of time, you can get rid of the pressure of not being able to book someone on the day off. At first it might not seem like a deal, but calling one or two months ahead is a smart move rather than trying to find someone the day off to do your hair or makeup, and not ending up with the result you want can put a lot of stress.
School
As we head towards the end of the school year, it seems like everything is coming up. While SAT testing is done, there are still AP exams, finalizing classes for next year, and keeping grades up. There are still many things that need to be done to end the last two months strong. First, still keep track of your studying for your exams. Setting a study plan for these last few weeks instead of studying last minute can help you get a better score and make you less stress when the day comes. Studying and study plans look different for everyone, so explore until you find one suitable for you.
Secondly, this can also go towards keeping your grades up. While sometimes it seems like you don’t have time to do any of your work, make sure to also set aside time to work on homework and keep track of your grades. Towards the end of the year, some teachers tend to start assigning less or more homework, which can be a blessing or a curse. But this gives you opportunities to bring your grade up if you use your time wisely. Nearing the end, it’s important to use all the time you have to keep up with your school work or extracurriculars. While that could be doing your homework during advisor, resources, or doing it during class. Doing class work during school will save you lots more time, so when you get home, you can have time for
