Senior Night Boys Basketball
For many, senior nights are full of sad memories: the last time students will play on their home court, parents watching their children play for one of the last times and even fans waving their favorite players goodbye. But for the Olympians, the memories of senior night weren’t all bad.
On Friday, February 18, 2022, the East Men’s Basketball team gained another consecutive victory under their belt. Senior JT Kuhlman, one of the three seniors honored, will never forget his last time in the Orange Pit.
“This year has been a lot of fun because there’s a bunch of great guys on the team,” Kuhlman said. “It was a little sad knowing that this was one of our last games playing together.”
While Kuhlman will miss his teammates and the memories they have shared, he is glad to have shared a senior night victory with the team.
“It was awesome that we got to win our last home game,” Kuhlman said.
For the fifth victory in a row, the Olympians were able to secure the game with a final score of 60-40, with senior Will Rieckers adding 28 points and junior Ben Sylva adding 15. After this game, the Olympians feel prepared for the post-season and the sectional games that lie ahead.
