Loaner Lanyards

Stickers Evolve to Loaner Lanyards at East
Loaner+Lanyards

With the fact that students at East are required to wear lanyards at school, there is the question of what happens if a student forgets their lanyard at home.

For the first semester, students were required to go to their team office and get a sticker to wear on their shirts that stated their name, graduating year, and the date. Their name would be written down, and after three times getting a sticker, students would get lunch detention. At first, the stickers were simple: “Hello, my name is” stickers in the colors of their usual lanyard.

Students found the exact copy of the stickers online and ordered them for themselves and would get out of lunch detention. This was noticed, and newly designed East stickers were made and given out instead.

As of the first day back from winter break, students will still be required to go to their team office when they don’t have their lanyard but will now receive a loaner lanyard. The student’s name is still written down with the number of lanyards they have. These loaner lanyards are yellow.

In the lanyard pocket, a piece of paper states the number of lanyards it is and that if it is not returned at the end of the day, the student will receive a lunch detention. It is still unknown what will happen if a student loses the lanyard or someone else takes it from them.
