Throughout the year, people need to be ready for car troubles. Winter, being the worst time for car issues due to the cold weather, is the most important time to have a kit for everything that could happen.
Having a safety kit on hand while driving can help out in a sticky situation; breaking down on the side of the road, flat tire and various other problems. While it is hard to decide exactly what will be needed for the issue at hand, having everything prepared in the car will be beneficial.
Some basics for a car safety pack should include:
- A portable jack
- A heavy coat
- A blanket
- A first aid kit
- A set of jumper cables (at least 12 feet)
- Flashlights
- Batteries
- Bottled Water
- Extra vehicle fuses
- A plastic tarp
- A properly inflated spare tire
- An air pump
- A towing strap/chain
- Multipurpose utility tool/tool kit
- Car battery charger
- Glass breaker/seatbelt cutter tool
While this does seem like a lot to fit in a car, it will guarantee student’s safety on the road.
