Caroline’s Craft Corner: DIY Bottle Cap Magnets
School is back in session for many this past August. With senior year kicking into full gear for myself I found that taking a break from school was much needed. One craft that goes unnoticed often is crafts related to magnets, so this month’s post is all about making magnificent magnets from a common object such as a bottle cap to help dec out any bland metal surface.
Bottle Cap Magnets
Materials:
- Bottle caps, metal or plastic
- Small circular magnets
- Hot glue
- Scrapbook paper
- A pencil
Steps:
- Rinse the cap off with warm water to clean away any residue, then dry.
- Take the cap and place it on top of the paper of your choice and trace a circle around the cap.
- Using scissors, cut out the paper circle.
- With hot glue, or regular glue, secure the circle to the inside of the bottle cap.
- Once cooled, using the hot glue secure the magnet to the back of the cap.
Happy crafting!
