School is back in session for many this past August. With senior year kicking into full gear for myself I found that taking a break from school was much needed. One craft that goes unnoticed often is crafts related to magnets, so this month’s post is all about making magnificent magnets from a common object such as a bottle cap to help dec out any bland metal surface.

Bottle Cap Magnets

Materials:

  • Bottle caps, metal or plastic
  • Small circular magnets
  • Hot glue
  • Scrapbook paper
  • A pencil

Steps:

  1. Rinse the cap off with warm water to clean away any residue, then dry.
  2. Take the cap and place it on top of the paper of your choice and trace a circle around the cap.
  3. Using scissors, cut out the paper circle.
  4. With hot glue, or regular glue, secure the circle to the inside of the bottle cap.
  5. Once cooled, using the hot glue secure the magnet to the back of the cap.

Happy crafting!
