East vs. North Girls Basketball

On Thursday, Dec. 16, the Lady Olympians took on their cross-town rivals, the Bulldogs. After an outstanding performance, the Olympians won 74-29.

Junior Leah Bachmann was prepared for the game after losing a winning streak earlier that week.

“We played Ben Davis on Tuesday and it was really rough, so this a good comeback. We had a winning streak and on Tuesday we lost so that was a motivator because we wanted to win again,” Bachmann said.

While the previous game served as motivation, during the actual game was what counted.

“We played really well as a team and I don’t think anyone had a bad game. That trophy, no one even knew that we got it because we haven’t won in so long so it’s just so exciting,” Bachmann said.

Such an impressive win has been a long time coming for the Lady Os, and the preparation paid off.
