Ariana Abraham’s senior project consists of a workshop for 3D intro modeling.

Abraham will be teaching the basic concepts of 3D modeling and computer aided design using the Autodesk inventor and Sketchup. There will be one session for each and interested individuals will need to sign up for just one or both.

The workshop is on Saturday, November 21st, at Columbus North high school in room 1416. The Autodesk Inventor is at 10:15am through 11:15am and the Sketchup is 9am through 10am. The workshop is for people ranging from 7th to 12th graders.

“I chose this because I wanted to show students in the community that you can mesh science, technology, and math with arts, and even make a career out of it.” Abraham said.

Abraham got the idea last spring when her junior class was brainstorming senior project ideas.

“I’ve been working on the project since the beginning of the year but just got proposed and approved the week before fall break. My mentor, Mr. Cain has helped me get the idea off the ground and one of my volunteers, Victoria Butcher has helped me put up flyers to advertise.” Abraham said.
