I’m Just Sayin’-Dogs

Yetla Reyna, Cover Writer

I wanted to write a story about how the pictures of dogs from people at school are great, so I included them. All of these dogs are adorable and I appreciate them so much. They are each unique, cute, and deserve to be praised.

What this story turned out to be though, is a little thing about how dogs are just the better animal.

Now, I know there’s this grand feud between dogs and cats but I’m here to settle it. Dogs are better. All facts.

Not only are dogs always excited to see you when you come home, but they will endlessly be loyal to you. Dogs are quite literally the best thing to happen to me, but I’ve had some bad experiences with cats.

I know I probably will get some heat over this, but let me explain.

The first time I was around a cat, it was under the chair I was sitting in and it made me feel creeped out. I had never been around cats before, so I was confused as to why its tail did that thing, the sticking up in the air thing.

I have had 5 dogs before my current dog and they were all super energetic, something I didn’t see in cats when I was around them. I know my opinion must be very strongly instilled in me though, my entire family has owned one or more dogs, never cats.

Out of the six households in my family in the US, there are nine dogs living with us. This is not to mention, the few that have passed away from tragic circumstances.

While of course dogs are amazing, there are dogs that have been so awful to me that I was scarred. This isn’t necessarily any dog specifically, but annoying dogs in general, or even annoying owners in general.

Annoying dogs: the dogs that bark at anything and everything and aren’t trained for the life of them and attack not only adults, but innocent little kids.

Annoying owners: People that don’t train their dogs to not bark at everything and everyone that walks by and then praises them for sitting still OR gets offended when you don’t want anything to do with said dogs.
