The community in Columbus has attempted to make healthcare more accessible to all. Most people are unaware of beneficial programs and places for less costly healthcare.

In Nov. 2023 Indiana was ranked the 10th worst state for healthcare due to the high costs. Columbus is attempting to improve our rank by offering less costly services. 

Many residents of Columbus have not been made aware of some of the lower-cost healthcare resources here in Columbus. 

Centerstone provides both primary and mental health care for all. They can treat and diagnose minor injuries, illnesses and perform routine laboratory and diagnostic tests. 

They also provide addiction recovery, care management, and pediatric care. Psychiatric services like counseling and behavioral therapy are provided as well. 

Centerstone offers financial assistance to those who qualify and accept a wide variety of insurances. 

Columbus Regional Health has also attempted to provide more affordable care. They have created a resource page for patients to use to find less expensive care. The resource page provides information on assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, home health care, dialysis services, and more. 

Clarity is another location that provides lower-cost care for our community. Clarity focuses on pregnancy and sexual health services. 

Altogether the community is taking charge of the healthcare system and attempting to make it better for all.
