Greek’s Pizzeria has 18 independent, locally owned, and operated locations in Indiana, including Columbus. Greek’s in Columbus is owned by two friends, Cayden Madding, 20, and Jacob Szumski, 19.
Madding and Szumski grew up in the same town, Avon, Indiana. Although, they were never close friends in school. They both always had an interest in Greek Pizzeria and worked as delivery drivers for different locations at first.
After many shifts at Greek’s, owning 40% of a Southport location, and even a break from Greeks, Szumski had the opportunity to buy the Greeks in Crawfordsville.
While Szumski owned the store in Crawfordsville, Madding started to hang out at his house more often, and they became closer friends. As they talked about their hopes and dreams relating to Greeks, they began to realize they both wanted to own a Greek Pizzeria.
Madding started working at Szumski’s store in Crawfordsville while still delivering for the store in Plainfield.
After all of their hard work regarding Greeks, the two got an opportunity to purchase and renovate the Greeks in Columbus.
While Madding and Szumski grew up as acquaintances for many years in their hometown, they were brought back together through their passion for Greeks and now see each other as brothers.
