Senior Vincent Villarreal, or Vinnie for short, is a new face at East this year, originally from Columbus Christian School. As a senior, his transition to East has been an interesting and fun change of pace in his life. Although the change has been drastic, Villarreal has used his interests to connect with people at East!
Being a new senior, Villarreal had to figure out his senior project. He has had a passion for music for a long time, so he decided to make that his senior project. He is making an album completely made by him. Lyrics, music, and everything. His go-to genre of music is hip-hop rap, so that is the basis of his album. Villarreal loves music because he can use it to cope with emotions.
“I want to be able to spread that to the world and make an impact on the world,” Villarreal said.
Another interest that Villarreal has is cooking and baking. His favorite things to make are cookies, any kind of pasta dish, or a breakfast dish. Much like music, cooking is a way to cope for Villarreal. It is relaxing and a good way to release any negative emotions.
“I’ve actually won awards for my cookies,” Villarreal said.
